Improve the education system

It’s known that in Spain, the last decade results of OECD have been catastrophic. It’s one of the worst European countries in studying. What’s more, government is doing nothing to change the rates. Should we think on another and more effective education system? Aren’t we ashamed enough of what have we got since now?

Firstly, I would mind talking about schools system. I think that nowadays the main importance is based on the director, although he/she has relevant amounts of tasks to do. So it would be better to assign part of his/her tasks to another worker in order to separate the educational job apart from the accountability one.

Furthermore, the main problem of educational system here in Spain are the teachers’ level, because they are probably not as implicated as teachers in other countries. That could be fault of the culture, or the imposed level which is asked for in “the teacher’ training” career. In general, maybe all the degrees are quite weak.

(At) last but not least, students are too well used and they usually have a timetable full of many activities, most of them sportive; although television in Spain takes an important number of hours which could be spent on revising for exams.

To sum up, I think that we should change our school habits at all, and start again from zero, because other countries are doing much better than us, so we need a change and  mentally prepare.

advantages and disadvantages of school uniforms

In many schools around the world wear uniforms, but there are also many which do not need to wear it. In between these are the schools that you can choose the uniform, and these schools uniforms are not so formal.
The origin of school uniforms come from schools which controlled by the religious orders, they forced you to wear uniforms because the religious orders don't want discriminate between classes.

I think that to wear uniforms have positive advantage because it makes everyone be equal, not classified between classes and this is a very good thing because everyone has the same opportunity. It also gives the students a sign of that school. Also I think that it would be better to wear uniforms in primary school because teaches discipline and good behaviour. I think it is important to learn that at this age.

But on the other hand, if students do not wear uniforms they have more freedom because they do not impose rules as strict as the dress, because everyone is free to dress as they wants. That a good motivation for the students because they have more freedom. But I think that they should wear what they want, we should base with some parameters, because there are some clothes that don't help school learning.

In conclusion I think that the uniform is important for the primary school but in the high school should it be forced because at that age the student is responsible and mature enough.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF SCHOOL UNIFORMS?

Schools’ dress codes are very different, every school has its own rules but generally we can separate them in two groups; schools that require wearing (*) uniform and schools that don’t. That has always been a discussion topic, people argue against or in favor (*) schools uniform, if they help the student or if they don’t. Actually, we are arguing about showing or hiding our personality, about being unique or the same.

I have never worn a uniform at school.  From my point of view, that is good for students because, as many people say, clothes are a way to show who we are, our interests and what we want to be. What is more, our style shows an important part of ourselves, and makes us original and different from the others.  I believe that no one shouldn’t be afraid of showing its personality, and school uniforms don’t allow us to show it and make us hide a part of it.

On the other hand, school uniforms equalize people. If all the students are dressed alike nobody sees differences between them. Moreover, everybody is equal, no matter the economic situation of the student or where is he from. So, school uniforms are a good way to stop differences and discrimination in the schools, even if they can’t avoid bullying (*) they reduce it.

To conclude, I just want to say that I think that school uniforms could be really useful. However, I still want to wear different clothes at school, because, as I said before they show who I am and make me different from the others, also they make me feel more comfortable and confident.

Advantages and disadvantages of wearing a school uniform.

School uniforms are not as common as they used to be. For me, wearing a uniform is a way to hide the personality of the individual. Everyone has a different and unique personality and a single way to be, wearing whatever you want is a way to show the world who you are. So, wearing uniform is hiding your personality.

But not everything is wrong in wearing uniforms, in the world we live, some people will judge you by your appearance and, by wearing a uniform, you can hide your social class and have the same opportunities as people who are in a better economic situation than you.  In my opinion, that’s an excuse to implement them because that is a problem that concern (to) the society and the personality of the individual shouldn’t be harmed in such non-sense things.

To conclude I would like to say that I am against school uniforms, but if I had to study in a school where uniforms are required I wouldn’t  had any kinds of problems but, maybe my actual personality would be different.

WHAT ARE THE ADVANTAGES ANS DISADVANTAGES OF SCHOOL UNIFORMS?

The uniforms have been such a polemic topic between the students community. Everybody wants to show their personality through the clothes but they also want to feel equal; both are opposite ideas. So, what do we have to do? Do we have to wear an uniform to feel equal or to not wear it to show our personality?

The advantages of wearing a school uniform at school are that they have the power to do or change some things which are too delicate like the bullying. They can reduce it because if we wear uniform everyone will look the same. Some people think that they are smart and make a good impression and one of the most important; they stop people's feeling that they have to wear expensive designer clothes in school.

One of the main disadvantages of the school uniform is that it can stop people expressing their creativity, so in consequence, they used to be boring and old-fashioned. All the students will wear exactly the same so anything in the school could show their own personality. Some people also think that uniforms are too formal and uncomfortable for the student life.

Personally, I think that the school uniforms have too many good things and that the fact that it goes down all of those bad situations like the bullying and the social marginalization in the school but I also think that it is too important for the teenagers to show their creativity and personality in all the possible ways.

WHAT’RE THE ADVATATGES AND DIVANTATGES OF SCHOOL UNIFORMS?

WHICH ARE THE ADVATATGES AND DISVANTATGES OF SCHOOL UNIFORMS?
All kind of specialists as psychologists or just specialists on student’s behavior have spent many years investigating if dressing the same clothes influences the learning process of children. Nowadays, in some schools it is compulsory the use of uniforms, normally those ones which are private. Meanwhile in public schools students can dress as they want. But, let’s compare both view-points. Are school uniforms a favorable, a harmful, or just an indifferent piece of the educational system?

One advantage of school uniforms is the capacity of avoiding or reducing conflicts related with how much money does each family spend in shopping clothes just for going to school. I mean that students can’t judge the rest just looking on the superficial appearance.

Moreover, uniforms cause a much more polite and sophisticated image of students. That’s great for schools because in student’s meetings it’s rather important to cause a trendy impression to the rest. It’s a useful business tool for telling parents: Hey! Register your children here! We are better than other schools!

Besides, there are also many of arguments against school uniforms. Girls and boys need to express themselves by dressing their personal trends. Colors, patterns, sizes, materials… Scientists agree that diversity is closely related in personalities.

Furthermore, some students feel uncomfortable wearing a necklace or just a long skirt. In fact, uniforms use to be too much formal for kids among six o for-teen years old, who surely prefer a comfortable track-suite more than a serious suit.

Just in conclusion, I would say that I feel lucky to have gone to the public and humble school of my village, where everybody was able to dress whatever they want to. In reference with my identity, I would have felt prisoner wearing those too smart uniforms! I wouldn’t dress up just for the everyday in school. What would life be without my wide and comfortable sweatshirts?

SCHOOL UNIFORM

Most of  the people agree that in school, students have to wear a school uniform. But, what are the advantages and disadvantage of school uniforms? Some people think that school uniforms feel the students more equal with the others. However, there are also disadvantages to school uniform.

One advantage of (*) school uniform is that it looks much more formal, it is smart and it makes a good impression. Also, if any crime happens outside of school, members of the public can identify which school they attend (*). They make everybody feel equal, too. Uniforms can reduce bullying, because everyone looks the same and this can stop people feeling that they have to wear expensive designer clothes to school.

On the other hand, uniforms are very boring, also sometimes they are very old-fashioned and students can get very hot, during the summer term, with the school uniform. In addition, it is too formal and uncomfortable. Furthermore, they stop people (*) expressing their creativity.

On balance, I feel that school uniforms are better because they seem that school is very formal and serious, and this is very important. However, I (*) think that is important that people express their creativity.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of school uniforms?

Since some teachers and parents had the idea of setting a rule for all the students to wear uniforms in school, it has started a debate. Most students disagree, but before taking a stand we should see some advantages and disadvantages of wearing a uniform.

The strongest reason why school uniforms are a good idea is that they promote equality. Wearing uniforms makes everybody looks the same so it reduces bulling. With all students dressed alike, they will not judge others for what they wear. Moveover, uniforms stop people feeling like they have to buy and wear expensive clothes when they go to school. In addition, wearing uniforms is safer when going outside the school on trips and excursions since students are more easly identifiable when they are dressed all the same.

However, there is also a bad side of all that. Uniforms’ design is usually boring, too formal, uncomfortable and old-fashioned. Teachers could ask the students for designing a uniform they would like to wear, in order to help them to show their creativity. On the other hand, contrary to popular belief, even with uniforms on, certain children will get picked on by others for their appearance.

Therefore, my position is neutral since there are lots of advantages and disadvantages of using school uniforms. I think teachers and parents should let students decide if they want to wear them or not.

Exams: good or bad

Exams are probably what teenagers hate the most. Many people think they prove if students are learning, however, it isn't the only point of view.

It is clear that if during ages exams have been the most popular way of asses it's for something. They are probably the easiest way for teachers. Besides, they make students study if they want to pass.

Nevertheless, when we are in an exam we are very nervous and stressed, that affects our writting skill and as a consequence we don't say what we are thinking about.

In conclusion, exams aren't bad but neither the best way for express our knowledge. Combine writting exams, oral ones and essays would be a better option.
