Letter to my family in China

Dear Mum,

How are you? I'm still getting used to the new school. Things are much more different here, in Catalonia, than in Shangai. I am a little bit upset, because I doubt I will learn as much as I did in Shangai. It seems that even the (own) students (*) don't care about their knowledge improvement! What's more, installations aren't equipped enough.

Have you thought about the idea of taking me back home...? I am not joking, mum. I probably was too used to the excellent school system, there: brilliantly prepared teachers, latest technology computers and both you and dad helping me with the homework.

I honestly think that this country should reset its school system so that it can offer the best education to its youngsters. I must say that Spain is going through a difficult economic situation, so it may be partly understandable.

At any rate, mum, I don't think this is the best for me. Perhaps you can look for another school in another country or in the own Shangai.

I miss you, mum, daddy and Jane! We are seing us in Christmas, aren't we? Don't forget to buy the airline tickets!

Love and kisses,

Marta :)
