DIALOGUE BETWEEN TWO MEN IN A DIFFICULT MOMENT DURING THE EXPEDITION

Randolph Fiennes    Hey, Randolph, where’s the compass?

Mike Stroud              You put it in your backpack, I think.

Randolph Fiennes    I didn’t. I remember giving it to you a few minutes ago.

Mike Stroud             No, my friend, you didn’t give me anything.

Randolph Fiennes    Are you starting again? Do you want to take it all of me? Haven’t you had enough with   being the first called when announcing our departure?

Mike Stroud             What are you talking about, Randy? What’s wrong?

Randolph Fiennes    Oh don’t act like you don’t know it! You’ve always been the first in all. You’re always stealing my merit.

Mike Stroud             Calm down, Randolph. We are mates, we are a team! I’m not stealing anybody’s merit because it’s ours, not only mine!

Randolph Fiennes    Yeah, that’s what you all the time. You damned!

Mike Stroud             You’re obviously getting carried away by the hunger… Please remain calmed, we’re     stopping in a mile to eat. I know it’s hard to be together all the time but we’re near the final, you see?

Randolph Fiennes    Oh, Mike, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to be rude. You’re right, I’m so hungry and that makes me feel angry.

Mike Stroud             Don’t worry, my friend. Look! There’s the final sign! We did it, Randy!

Randolph Fiennes    Oh my Goodness! I couldn’t have got here it without your encouragement.
