Rio de Janeiro

Who would refuse to visit a huge city with tropical climate and endless beaches? Personally, I wouldn't.
Rio de Janeiro or simply Rio is located in southeastern Brasil, on the Atlantic coast and  close to the Tropic of Capricon. There are few reasons that made me  write about Rio de Janeiro.

Rio de Janeiro is a city with an incredible spirit, if I get the oportunity to visit it some day it will be during the legendary Rio carnival:Waves of thousands of people walking, dancing through the streets.
The Copacabana beach is one of the most famous beaches around the world. It's located in the south zone of Rio,and its long around 4km.It offers great sands and great ocean water but the is one thing that doesn't exist and that is tranquility because is very crowded.

Every big city in the world has an "icon" that makes it famous around the world, in the case of Rio this "icon" is the 38 m. statue of Jesus Christ named Christ the Redeemer located on the top of the  Corcovado peak.
Another famous landmark is the Sugarloaf Mountain that offers a very good view to the city and to the Guanabara Bay.

Another thing that Rio is famous for is its huge sports venue:The Maracana stadium, one of the biggest football stadiums in the world which will host the2014 FIFA world cup and the 2016 summer Olympics.

Rio de Janeiro is not the city that I dream of living i. it becauseof the high level of crimes in some areas, but however it's the city that I would like to visit most in the world.
