Net piracy is killing the music industry

Nowadays it’s common and useful to download full CD’s or single songs from our most-liked singers without pay. But, it’s said that net piracy is killing the music industry. In my opinion, in spite of selling CD, musicians are actually selling plenty of different kind of products advertised by using their own image. So, it’s necessary to buy CD’s if we are buying a perfume or a gel?  I think that if I am downloading songs only for my own, not for a commercial use, I’m not getting involved in a crime.

Besides, some people think that piracy increases a lot the company’s losses, and as result, software and hardware prices has also grown up. In addition, some companies get a security system called anti-copy which request to servers for a periodic programme actualization, because it’s a way to get rid of those pirate users. That’s a good idea because it's getting good results, but it’s exhausting for legal users too!

What’s more, thanks to piracy we can now reach new versions of products or just products which, for different reasons, wouldn’t never came to our country if all the downloads were legal.

In conclusion, I would say that piracy is provably supposing a loss for producers, but they realized that on time and changed the music industry into selling the musicians image.
