Travelling for adventure

It seems that it was yesterday when my freind Passepartout and I went around the world in only eighty days.
I perfectly remember the incredulity faces of all my colleagues when we bet that I could achieve it.

Passepartout and I, started the trip from London, by train, at 8:45 p.m. on October 2, 1872.
Our first stop was in Suez. There, a detective from Scotland called Fix suspected that my expedition was financed with the loot of a bank robbery. Since that, he pursued us during all the trip.

The second stop took place in India, where we met Aouda, an Indian princess. We were travelling by elephant when we encountered a procession. This, was dedicated to her dead husband who was going to be burned in the funeral fire. Aouda was forced to burn with him, so we rescued her and she joined in the voyage.

In Nebraska, we were attacked by a group of Indian Siouxs and because of that Passepartout was captured. Luckily we could rescue him and follow the trip.

When we got back to Britain I was arrested by the scottish detective, Finn. That made me lose my expectations of winning the bet. But, Passepartout, the next morning, realized that we had crossed the international time zome, so we still had some hours until complete the eighty days of travelling.

Finally I won the bet, entering to the Reform Club, exactly at 8:45 p.m. eighty days before. All those incredulity faces of the begining turned into surprised and angry faces.
