Improve the education system

It’s known that in Spain, the last decade results of OECD have been catastrophic. It’s one of the worst European countries in studying. What’s more, government is doing nothing to change the rates. Should we think on another and more effective education system? Aren’t we ashamed enough of what have we got since now?

Firstly, I would mind talking about schools system. I think that nowadays the main importance is based on the director, although he/she has relevant amounts of tasks to do. So it would be better to assign part of his/her tasks to another worker in order to separate the educational job apart from the accountability one. 

Furthermore, the main problem of educational system here in Spain are the teachers’ level, because they are probably not as implicated as teachers in other countries. That could be fault of the culture, or the imposed level which is asked for in “the teacher’ training” career. In general, maybe all the degrees are quite weak.

(At) last but not least, students are too well used and they usually have a timetable full of many activities, most of them sportive; although television in Spain takes an important number of hours which could be spent on revising for exams. 

To sum up, I think that we should change our school habits at all, and start again from zero, because other countries are doing much better than us, so we need a change and  mentally prepare.
