"Net piracy is killing the music industry."

Nowadays, almost ever downloads his favorite songs from internet, and only few people buy the songs instead of downloading them.

In my opinion, piracy is helping the music producers giving them free publicity. It is clear that I won’t buy any CD when I can get it free from the internet but, if the author is really good at producing music that I like, maybe I will buy a T-Shirt or maybe I will go to one of his concerts.

Some mediocre artists criticize piracy because they aren’t as popular as they want to be or they don’t earn enough money with their songs, maybe because most of them aren’t that good. Successful artists earn even more money posting a videoclip of one of their songs than selling CDs.

Piracy isn’t killing music industry, piracy it’s a progress and every musician should be proud of being able to share his music around the world for free.
