SIDNEY!

Sidney is on the north coast of Australia and it is the capital of New South Wales. Sidney is on the smallest continent but on the biggest island of the world!

The population in Sidney is approximately 4.6 million people. It's the oldest city of Australia, founded by Arthur Philip, an admiral of the Great Britain's fleet. But Sidney has a lot of modern buildings.

Of Sidney is very characteristic the Opera House, one of the most important buildings of the XX century which is testified as a World Heritage Site. It's also historic for its big Harbour.

The main industries are shipbuilding, cars making and oil refineries, but Sidney is visited by lots of tourists during all the year.

The weather in this city is normally warm and sunny, especially in January, but it has also cold winters, particularly in June. The average temperature is 17 degrees centigrade, and it rains well, especially in summer.
